Sapphire Counseling got its name not because all the cool growth metaphors were taken (which they were), but because a sapphire symbolizes intelligence, education, and the ability to make wise decisions. The Greeks wore sapphires for wisdom, while ancient Persians used them medicinally to strengthen the heart and bestow courage. So, when you receive support from one of the counselors at Sapphire Counseling, we aim to impart clinical wisdom to improve decision-making and help you leave with a stronger heart.

I’m Hannah, the owner and founder of Sapphire Counseling and I absolutely love being a counselor. I have enjoyed being able to grow a practice of counselors that can authentically support our community. Since 2016, I’ve worked with diverse individuals in a variety of settings, and I opened this practice to offer authentic and “no-fluff” therapy. We get into the real, gritty parts of life here —sometimes with colorful language — and do the hard work, together.
I primarily use cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), teaching practical strategies clients can apply in real life. While these approaches ground my work, I ultimately use a person-centered, integrative lens to make sure each client feels seen and supported. I’m passionate about helping clients reach their full potential and learn to set and maintain healthy boundaries.
Outside the office, you’ll usually find me with my husband and our two amazing littles, spending time as a family or with our village of friends. When I get a rare moment to myself, I love to exercise, binge a good show, or escape into a book.
Areas of focus: Dialectical behavior therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, borderline personality disorder, young adults
Self-pay: $99 per session
