I’m Giselle, a supervisee in social work, and I earned my Master of Social Work degree from Simmons University. My experiences in the military, along with providing clinical care in both inpatient and outpatient settings, have shaped the thoughtful, genuine, and approachable way I support clients.
I work primarily with children and adolescents, and I also support adults. I work with clients from diverse backgrounds and identities, helping them navigate challenges such as anxiety, stress, depression, ADHD, trauma, self-esteem, life transitions, and more complex concerns like self-harm and suicidal thoughts. I take a patient-centered and strengths-based approach, collaborating with each client to build practical skills they can use in everyday life, provide psychoeducation to help them understand their experiences, and tailor support to fit their unique needs, strengths, and goals.
My approach is trauma-informed and draws from a variety of evidence-based strategies, including cognitive behavioral therapy, trauma-focused CBT, solution-focused techniques, and skills from motivational interviewing, dialectical behavior therapy, and narrative-informed methods. I also incorporate mindfulness, emotion regulation strategies, and structured problem-solving to help clients feel equipped to manage challenges and grow in meaningful ways.
Outside of the office, you can find me spending time with my family, traveling (hopefully somewhere warm), staying active, or cheering on my team on game day!
