Megan will begin her internship with Sapphire Counseling on May 18th, 2026.
I am currently a master’s student in the Clinical Mental Health Counseling program at Old Dominion University and am completing my practicum with Sapphire Counseling. I am a member of both the American Counseling Association and the International Association for Resilience and Trauma Counseling. My clinical interests include working with individuals experiencing trauma, depression, anxiety, and substance use concerns.
I was drawn to the counseling profession out of a genuine passion for supporting and advocating for others, informed by my own understanding of how challenging life can be at times. I strive to take a holistic approach to healing by integrating elements of person-centered therapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy, and dialectical behavior therapy to best meet each client’s unique needs.
I believe that therapy looks different for everyone, as no person will have the exact same experience. My goal is to create a warm, collaborative space where you feel heard, respected, and empowered. Together, we will develop treatment goals that reflect your voice and priorities as we work toward growth, resilience, and meaningful healing.
